CPR Saturday

Volunteers from the Placer District of the Sacramento Sierra Chapter want to help you learn to save lives! More than 100 Red Cross volunteers will host this training designed to teach the public CPR and AED skills.

Date: Saturday, March 20, 2010
Time: Choose one of five available sessions (7:30 a.m., 9:15 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:45 p.m., or 2:15 p.m.). Each session lasts 3 1/2 hours.
Location: William Jessup University, 333 Sunset Blvd., Rocklin 

After completing one of the sessions, which includes adult CPR, choke rescue and rescue breathing skills and AED training, attendees will receive a Red Cross certification valid for one year.

A $10 non-refundable fee is due at the time of pre-registration. Class sessions include all class materials, training and a keychain breathing barrier to use in case of emergency. Pre-registration is available online or by calling 1-866-656-9272.

   

Third Annual Time, Talent and Treasure Ladies Tea

The T3 is a ladies mid-day tea held each spring in celebration of the time, talent and treasure of women who share their gifts to benefit others, and in particular, those who are committed to the work of their local Red Cross chapter. This event is organized by women volunteer leaders who are members of the Sacramento Sierra Chapter Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders, and the Legacy Circle Society, a society for those who have committed to leaving a legacy gift to the Red Cross.

Time: The ladies tea will commence at 11:30 a.m.
Location: The ladies tea will be held at the home of Debra Baron: 421 Crocker Road, Sacramento, 95864
Tickets: Individual tickets are $35; tables of eight are $280

Chef Tyler Stone is one of America’s rising stars in the next generation of chefs. From the time he was 4 years old, Tyler Stone has had a full-blown passion for the culinary arts and has accomplished much in his short career. He graduated from a local culinary academy at the age of thirteen and a half with a student degree in restaurant management and culinary arts. He has also enjoyed numerous T.V. appearances on local television and has prepared fabulous dinner parties for local and national celebrities, organizations, and politicians. Tim Lewis Communities: A $500 donation will be made for every home sold between March 1, 2010 and May 31, 2010. An additional $300 will be donated for every home sold that uses Well Fargo Lending.

Jackson Rancheria Hotel and Casino: Donating funds from Casino Boxes and allowing people to turn their Casino Points into cash for one month period

Red Hawk Casino: Facilitating an employee drive with company matching gifts

Raley's Corporation: Placing donation boxes at all check stands in the northern California region.

Sacramento Municipal Utilities Division (SMUD): Hosting donation breakfasts and employee drive
